Cristiano Ronaldo has once again professed his love for English
football and Manchester United, but insists he’s currently happy at Real
Madrid.
The Portuguese forward has been linked with a move back to Old
Trafford all summer as the uncertainty over his future with Madrid drags
on, but the 28-year-old has moved to play down speculation of a
transfer away from the Bernabeu.
‘I really miss English football. For me, it was some of the best years when I was there, everyone knows that,’ he said.
‘Manchester United is still a club that is close to my heart.
‘Now my life in in Spain and I have enjoyed playing there too,’ he continued.
‘Part of my life is there, but in the future we never know. I am really, really happy in the Spanish league.’
Ronaldo has been reluctant to put pen to paper on a new contract with Madrid, but it seems a resolution to talks could be near.
