We all  expected a thrashing. People predicted 10-0,11-0, 12-0, 15-0. But when the mauling started I just could not help but feel sorry for the Tahitians.Their fans tried booing Spain but it did not help matters as after the fourth goal the booing ceased.
Spain showed no remorse even after a player begged Torres to stop according to SPORTIVE23.They were so hungry for goals that at a point 3 of them (Torres, Villa,Silva) were offside at the same time
I tried praying for a goal for the Tahitians but it was just not meant to be as the referee was adamant to even allow them get an offside chance. But when Torres missed that penalty kick I celebrated as though it was a goal unfortunately he scored like a minute later.
Credit to Tahiti for their fighting spirit but now they return to their 180000 citizens to tell the story of how they came, saw and were conquered. They still have a match to go and I doubt Uruguay would use their second team if they have one so they better brace up for another mauling.
