Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi has confirmed AC Milan kingpin Kevin-Prince Boateng has ended his temporal retirement from international football.
Earlier this week, a Black Stars management member and an astute Ghanaian politician, who is a relative of the former Tottenham midfielder, revealed Boateng has ended his self-imposed exile.
The return of the playmaker will definitely boost Ghana's chances of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, with two more games to go before the final round of qualifying matches.
A source close to the Ghana camp told Football411: "Kevin-Prince Boateng had confirmed to coach (Kwesi Appiah) and myself that he was coming back to play for the Black Stars of Ghana - let me confirm that was before Kwesi Appiah selected his team for the Sudan game (on June 7).
"Kevin had told the coach and me that he was available for that game. Unfortunately, a week before that game he picked up an injury during training with AC Milan, but he told us that he would participate in the team's games in June.

"It is such a refreshing news to know that at least some of our best players are ready at a time that we need them most to help us qualify to Brazil 2014."
The former Germany Under-19 player switched nationalities in 2010 and scored his first goal for Ghana at the 2010 World Cup against the United State of America.
Meanwhile, Nyantakyi was delighted with the news Ayew brothers Andre and Jordan had returned to the Black Stars team, with Ghana president John Dramani Mahama having convinced the pair to end their early international retirements.
"We have to assemble the best we have, so if they (Ayew brothers) are back we thank God," the FA chief added.
"It took the president to intervene and we thank him for that, now it depends on the coach and the rest of the technical team to see which players will play the last round of qualifiers to help us qualify to Brazil, because Brazil 2014 World Cup is a must."
