Roma have officially named former Lille boss Rudi Garcia as their new coach.
The announcement was made by president James Pallotta from his New York City offices.
“We are very happy and believe in our choice Rudi Garcia as our new coach,” Pallotta said in a statement.
“He has shown that he is a winner and has a great footballing vision
and we believe that he fits in perfectly with our vision for the
future.”
The 49-year-old will sign a two-year contract that will pay him €1.5 million a season, with an option for a third year.
He spent the last five seasons at Lille, winning the Ligue 1 and Coupe de France in 2011.
