Carlos Tevez looks set to leave Manchester City and will join AC Milan in a £10 million deal according to the Daily Mirror.
City
want to sell Tevez before he can leave for free next summer and the
striker recently stated his intention to run down his contract.
Although new City manager Manuel Pellegrini is set to talk to all
players who only have one year left on their contracts, he is not set to
do so until the first week of July and Tevez may not be at the club by
then.
Tevez has long been linked with a move to Italy and AC Milan almost signed him last summer but the move fell through.
Now,
the Italian giants are determined to get their man and the Argentine is
set to link up with another former Manchester City player, Mario
Balotelli, who left City for Milan in January.
City will hope to
replace Tevez with Napoli striker Edinson Cavani and they have made the
Uruguay international their number one transfer target for the summer.
However,
they are facing stiff competition from Real Madrid and the striker has
already said the Spanish capital is his preferred destination, meaning
City look likely to miss out.
