Sampdoria have revealed that Inter Milan have won the race for Mauro Icardi, with a summer transfer put in place.

The 20-year-old forward has been linked with a host of clubs in recent times, with Premier League suitors said to be closely monitoring his progress.
The highly-rated Argentine is, however, to continue his career in Serie A for the foreseeable future.
Sampdoria will be reluctant sellers when a move is pushed through and insist that they have no intention of allowing other prized assets, such as Pedro Obiang and Nenad Kristicic, to follow Icardi through the exits.
Club president Edoardo Garrone told fcinter1908.it: "There is a promise made to Inter and I'm used to keeping my promises.
"Now that the season is over, the deal will be closed. We have agreed a deal without any players in exchange.
"Obiang? He has had a great season, as had Kristicic, and unsellable players don't exist anymore. But Sampdoria don't want to give those two up, at least for another year."
