Tottenham and a bargain, they love them. Even the European media have cottoned on to the fact that Daniel Levy likes to get one over on the rest of the transfer market and therefore when there's a player who could be going at a bargain price, Tottenham are often pulled into the picture.
This time it's the turn of AC Milan's Bojan Krkic.
The 22 year old player who can play as a striker, second striker or left winger, moved from Barcelona to Roma in 2011 in a complicated deal which meant the Italian club would have to pay a big fee if they ever wanted to complete a full transfer of the player's rights.
Bojan was a big fan favourite in Barcelona and many supporters thought the club were letting him go too soon, the compromise deal was enough to placate them and give him the chance to prove himself elsewhere. It didn't quite work out at Roma and they sent him to AC Milan, which makes his contractual rights situation even more complicated.
As it stands if AC Milan want to have his full rights on a permanent deal then they must pay Barcelona €15m, according to Catalan newspaper Sport. He has a Barcelona contract in theory until 2016 and therefore the club have some bargaining power themselves. However, AC Milan want to pay a fee in the region of just €5m. If no agreement is made then Bojan will return to Barca where he'd struggle to get near the team, so the Catalan side have an interest in selling too.
Sport say this has alerted others, including Tottenham and Feyenoord, who would pay less than what Barcelona want but more than what AC Milan are currently offering. Sounds like there's a bargain to be had.
