Real Madrid are weighing up a move for Chelsea defender David Luiz as the prepare for Pepe’s departure.

Luiz has been in top form this season for the Blues and has been tipped as the natural replacement to take the armband off John Terry when he leaves the club.
Barcelona have kept and eye on Luiz and the Express say that although he is happy to work under Mourinho at the Blues, the Brazilian is a top target for Madrid.

Portuguese paper A Bola has it that Luiz would set Real back £29.7m.

They suggest that Manchester City, who are set to appoint Manuel Pellegrini as Roberto Mancini's successor, would have to pay £17m for Pepe's services.
